What are people giving up? I'm giving up irn bru! I'd give up fizzy drinks completely but I'm not allowed alcohol just now so I need something! Seeing as I average a big bottle of bru a day (I have like NO teeth!) it seemed the best one. Considered takeaways or benn & jerry's. I'm going to try and stay off them too but not sure about doing 3 things! That'll be hard. I've a friend who's giving up hair straighteners! She's not sure she'll cope!

Woo! I made a big step today guys, I joined my first community! (I've only really been talking to my fellow Banchorian's) Now can you guess what it is? I'd actually make you guess except you can find out on my profile! I joined the Metallica community! (Westlife was full! :P) It's great, it's full of nuts like me who love the band and can't wait for DOWNLOAD 2006!

I can't decide what's worse, lots of exams or lots of coursework! I only have one exam each semester and it's just a performance exam so everything has to be done in our own time. Its crappy, I keep having to kick myself to make me work! But then exams suck too. Hmmm I decide that they are both equally crappy!

I officially love my sister. She's moving out of her house and has a load of furniture etc. she needs to get rid of. I'm moving into a house and need to buy a load of furniture etc. I'm now getting a kingsize bed wooooo! very happy indeed!

I've been unreliably informed it is pancake day! I'm a terrible Christian, I never know when easter is until about a week before! Well why does it have to keep moving around! Isn't that a pagan calendar thing? (ah the wisdom of Eddie Izzard) Anyway I trust everybody is pancake-ing it today. And there's the age-old problem, big thin crepe-like pancakes or the yummy little scotch pancakes?

Anyway I've rambled enough for now, back to evil coursework *kick*

Hello! Long time no...uh...type? It's not been entirely down to my laziness this time, my friend Caroline had the kindness of giving me glandular fever back in December hoorah! (at least i think it was Caroline...) and consequently was dying for ages. I'm still half dying now but I can do it standing up as apposed to bed-dependant! Seriously though I'm much better now than I was and have a way fabby-er reason for not being in touch. Wait for it...I now...own...a HOUSE! It's crazy! Next week I'm moving into a 3 bedroom bungalow with my boyfriend Nick!
Okay that's my boasting over! Other than that I've been really trying to get work done (as I missed ALL my deadlines from the fever). Plus I know have a plan for the future, I'm going to apply for a teacher training course to start next september and get my Qualified Teacher Status and be a music teacher in Leeds! It's all a bit scary though, I know I'm lucky to know what I want to do and exactly how I'm going to do it but it also means the whole 'growing up' thing. In two and a half years I could be a teacher, with a house and boyfriend. I just think it's all a bit overwhelming! Damn! The annoying thing about keeping a journal is that I can't help but sound self-involved. It's all me-me-me!
By the way Helen, i am soooooooo jealous! The Producers and Giselle!!!! I am a green monser right now!

Amusing achievement from my glandular fever = I have not been drunk for 3 months! I've only had alcohol 3 times.

Question: does anybody know much about bone-marrow donation? I enough from the leaflets but has anybody actually heard accounts on what it's like etc?

Last but not least. DOWNLOAD 2006! Metallica and Guns and Roses are headlining! I absolutely am going but don't actually know anybody else that's going yet. It is a bit pricey (£115) but if anybody is at all up for going to donnington and staying in a tent please let me know! It's going to be sooooo fab!

So I think I've rambled on in my usual self-absorbed disorganised way. Please reply guys, haven't spoken to loads of you for aaaaaaaaaages!
Love you loads!

Woah! i know! long time no see! I believe it's been like two months? sorry, there's no excuse really! I've just either been lazy, distracted or busy! but i'm here now!

Right, so i guess being away this long requires some kind of update

Uni - I'm resitting History and Culture of Music. So that means actually writing the essay this time! "Are the terms "sublime", "ecstatic" and "transcendent" useful in helping to think about aspects of religious music?"

any thoughts? and if anybody knows particularly good phrases that impress lecturers that can be strategically inserted into an essay then please go ahead and let me know!

House - I've officially moved in! and i love it! I have now discovered the sheer brilliance of Netto and Iceland! I can buy everything I need for a tenth of the price! I've only met one housemate but we're getting along really well and I am assured that the other 2 girls are really nice. Get this though, when she first met me, she thought I seemed like quite a quiet person! Ha! she stands corrected!

Other than that I've concluded I really need a job! and that men are just waaaaaaaay too much of a complication at the moment! It never rains but it pours!

So right now i have an essay to procrastinate over, a lot of unpacking to do and some lovely men to lust over! Life isn't too bad I guess!

P.S. I swear I will do my very best to keep this more up to date now!

Poor thing isn't feeling so great today (not my doing! she swears she's not hungover! although we both damn well should be!!!!)
Hmm news of the month for me? I'm now going to stay at Uni! yes yes, all the reasons that I had for leaving still stand but my cunning personal tutor managed to say a few things that make me believe I'd regret leaving so I'm gonna stay. Bad side is during my "I HATE this course" phase I didn't really work hard on one module so I've got to resit one! I got enough credits but this module is a compulsory one you have to pass! Just my luck! But it's a good excuse to go back down to Leeds for a week!
I'm moving into my acey new house on Friday so woop woop! then back to good old Scotland on Saturday for a Ceilidh! woop woop again!
This room is absolutely freezing so I'm gonna call it a day here just now!

woo! Heya chickens! I'm still doing absolutely nothing with my life and all this free time! I did make one development though. What more could I want!

Pixie sent me this rather cool icon to put up but sadly I can't seem to get it to go on, there's some kind of error occuring. But to give you a hint, it has a picture and the letters IHOP which stands for something! Anybody got a guess? Not you pix!
Haha! I wondered when somebody would notice that! Thanks Aisha! Also I haven't had much to comment on in my life just now. I've finished exams, I'm leaving Uni, I've just turned nineteen and I am romantically involved with a 35 year old man named Lawrence. Yes, yes, shock horror for those who didn't already know but just to get it out of the way he contacted me via internet and he's a web designer for a gay community website. Yes, yes, he may only be after one thing (as apparently all 35 guys contacting 18 year old girls are?) but question, what are half the guys our age after? Indeed. I can guarantee you, he's sound.

Anyway, Pixie is over to visit just now. <lj:music>Nothing! (Sorry! You have to have headphones on you!)</lj:music>

haha! funny you should mention limericks! Especially about Aisha!
I have a friend known as the SOQ
Who likes to go running amock
She ties men to chairs
If they don't like her hair
And she loves anything that has a lock!

(note: I could have found much worse words to rhyme with SOQ! I was kind!)

And when I was York, Aisha and some of her made block-mates helped write this lovely limerick about a certain pixie we all know!

There's pixie who has purple hair
Who parades herself in the streets bare
She shows off her bum
But coveres her tum
And shaggs all her men on a chair!

(random + rude! I think we were drunk!)

Hmmm, I think we're gonna have to write some more for people! I'm gonna have a think about this!

...

...

...

DAMN! Why aren't there enough words that rhyme with Helen!?!?

I have a friend Helen who's arty
And boy does she know how to party!
And she always dreams
About Peppermint Creams
And occasionally packets of smarties!

(Sorry it's not scandelous enough! I don't have enough scandal on you!!! Will have to change that!)

Capital T! Woo!!!!!!!!!! What else do we no longer use? I assume you are still a pirate/mermaid/etc...
Remember killing people with flame throwers and strangling them with their intestines! You were such an innocent child! And walking up waterfalls at your house!!! I sincerely hope you are coming to mine in the Summer Helen! Especially as you weren't able to be at the original one last year!
Woo! More procrastination! This evening I'll be able to say that I am halfway through my exams!!!!!! WOOP!!!! Then I will be
